Moms wear many hats and slay a slew of responsibilities every day.
In the midst of all these moments and tasks, there’s very little time for you — even though self-care is essential for Your well-being.
It starts with MINDFULNESS.
As a Coach, I work with my moms to shift their perspective from “I have no time” to “There is time to be found.”
In most days, if not all, there are underused pockets of time, which you can claim to do something that rejuvenates your soul.
Do you need to work on saying no?
What tasks are non-negotiable, such as doing school time with your kids?
Did you take time out for yourself?
For my client Kristin, she’s settled into a rhythm that allows her to practice self-care while tending to a busy household of two young children.
We get our Zoom fitness training sessions in twice per week whether it be during nap time, after the kid’s bed time or when she’s fortunate enough to have a rare occasion of having some help.
Over the years, Kristin has realized that she needs to be in tip top shape in order to be her best self for all those that depend on her. And that doesn’t mean a certain weight or dress size – NOPE! THAT MEANS she needs to be Mindful, Move her body more times than not and have all food in Moderation (this is my wellness philosophy which I call the 3M Method (Mindfulness, Movement and Moderation).
And so I was so happy to receive a great testimonial Kristin left me the other day:
“Lee-Ann has been coaching me to ditch diets and instead practice mindful eating and mindful movement. It took months of practice for me to “reset” my mind and actually listen to my body. But now, I’m losing weight and it feels effortless. I’m not counting calories, I just stop eating when I’ve had enough. If I’m hungry, I eat. I crave healthy food. Don’t get me wrong, I still indulge in a piece of chocolate or a dessert here and there, and I do it without guilt because I know an occasional treat won’t derail me. I feel like my body is settling into where it’s supposed to be.”
