December 7th this year will mark 5 years of living with an Ostomy and ZERO ❌ Ulcerative Colitis issues.

I spent most of my adult life struggling with GI dysfunction. Despite that, exercise was my saving grace; a little piece of control I did have when my body failed me daily.

Despite that, I’ve never had any exercise related injuries due to my GI issues and I’ve never had a hernia from all the heavy lifting that I do do. And I’ve done a lot…

I’ve done CrossFit…
I’ve raced half Ironman’s…
I’ve run ultramarathon trail distances…

I’ve been sick and not sick, but one thing held firm – my commitment to fitness to keep my body as strong as I could so that I could withstand all the havoc my colon and my immune system was causing.
