Babe, this a reminder that we CAN do hard things.
By doing stuff that makes us scared or stuff that’s “hard,” we not only boost our inner confidence; but, that hard thing, it WILL get easier over time.
It’s interesting to me that post ostomy surgery, I’m more confident. I attribute this to age. To becoming super curious as to why I did things; reacted certain ways; felt certain stuff.
It wasn’t as easy as we see here in social media land “I turned 46 and now I give zero Fs…” 😝 cuz, I still do care what others think.
It really comes down to just trusting myself. Trusting my body. Releasing old expectations I put on myself. Ditching deadlines. Asking for support. Stepping outside of my usual zone and taking A LOT of scary risks.
Cuz, I remember what my grandma always told me about failing – you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try and try and try again.
Happy #mindsetmonday babes! Let me see you in your fav bathing suit! Tag me @leeannwatanabe ❤️
