fellow cardio queens, where you at?

The gym crew gave me two nick names:

“CardioQueen” because I would spend 90 minutes on the stair master every day.

“24CycleQueen” because I taught 7 spin classes per week at my gym.

I was a #cardioaddict for sure. And as such, I’ve suffered the consequences from exercising my body into the ground – leaving me chronically stressed and inflamed.

So when I hear 👂 ladies tell me they “exercise more and eat less,” I go into a tailspin.

EATING LESS AND EXERCISE MORE DOESN’T WORK!

Why?

If it were that simple, then all low calorie diets would have 💯 percent adherence with 💯 percent success rates 💯 percent of the time.

Your body is smart. Your hormones run the show. You can’t just “will” yourself into eat less and exercise more forever because eventually your physiology and your psychology will take over.

Ask yourself this: Can you do your diet and exercise plan forever?

And if ya can’t, then what’s the BEST WAY to lose body fat then?

Safe and sound fat loss requires both diet and exercise. What you eat and how you choose to move your body matters. But it’s not eat less and exercise more.

If fat loss is your goal, you will have to be in a caloric deficit, but you shouldn’t combine that caloric deficit with more exercise! It’s actually quite the opposite!

Here’s a quick and rough cheat sheet:

🥸figure out your caloric deficit that allows for 1/2 pound of weight loss per week

🏋🏽‍♀️do total body strength training 2-3x per week

🏃🏽‍♀️take a leisure walk every day

😴sleep at least 7 hours per night

💦 drink at least 64 ounces of water daily

If you want someone to figure out your custom plan; to check in with you weekly; to allow you to workout on your own flexible schedule, then my online program LevelUP is the right fit for you. I’m enrolling for June-August now. Questions ??? Let’s chat!
