guilt, shame and feeling fat

I just returned from an epic 10 day vacay… gambled ๐ŸŽฒ some, drank ๐Ÿท more than ever, ate out ๐Ÿฅ˜ multiple times per day, shopped ๐Ÿ‘– a lot, got my hair ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธblowed out often ๐Ÿ˜, exercised daily  ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ. So fun!

I remember a time, not too long ago, where an experience like this would have never happened.

Engaging in such โ€œrecklessโ€ and โ€œundisciplinedโ€ behavior would have left me feeling guilty, shameful, feeling lazy, fat, spending at least 2 hours of each vacay day in the hotel gym.

Shit, Iโ€™m glad those days are over.

But I know some of you out there deal with this same anxiety – when food and fitness canโ€™t be controlled in the manner you are used to.

So, how do you overcome that?

TBH, I donโ€™t have all the answers. I have trained enough ladies including myself to know this to be true:

Change of any kind:

requires time.

requires giving yourself grace.

requires consistency.

requires tenacity.

requires patience.

And ALL OF THAT โ˜๐Ÿพโ˜๐Ÿพโ˜๐Ÿพโ˜๐Ÿพโ˜๐Ÿพ never changes no matter your goal (fat loss, performance, work related, a financial, a mindset…)

You see, there isnโ€™t any magic bullet. There isnโ€™t any secret formula or blueprint yet to be discovered.

Thereโ€™s just taking action. Doing the thing. Getting shit done. When you feel like it and when you donโ€™t feel like it.

If you canโ€™t enjoy yourself because food and fitness is zapping the life out of you, then maybe itโ€™s time to ask for some support. Iโ€™m here for ya, anytime. Feel free to hit me up in my DMs ๐Ÿค— if you want to vent!ย
