We’ve been made to believe that negative reinforcement is a sure fire way to get what we want.
I used to say I wish I had Jillian Michaels as a trainer to beat my body into shape.
Suck it up. Go hard or go home. Balls to the walls. No days off. Sore today or sorry tomorrow.
Glad I’ve been there done that.
Now it’s my mission to remind ladies that the ways in which you think will motivate you, may be the very reason why you stay stuck in a cycle of fat loss and fat gain.
Telling yourself you suck won’t make you stoked on doing what you need to do.
That kind of self talk will only create a vicious cycle of self loathing, restriction and bingeing.
So next time you hear that self critic coming up, try flipping the script.
You are not lazy. You are not undisciplined.
You are strong. And capable. And worthy. And yep, you can do hard things.
