A different #transformationtuesday for ya! #bodyrecomp
My LevelUp Lifestyle Athlete @judynimtz became macro curious when she witnessed her sister doing my macros made easy program while they were on a family vacay in Scotland.
Judy’s goal? To see if eating macros made a difference in her energy and she wanted to start strength training consistently. Since the pandemic, her exercise routine had become sporadic.
Our work started by setting her macros at her maintenance which we discovered right away was too much food for her at our start. She didn’t realize how much she was under eating.
Fast forward to now almost 90 days of consistent progressive overload, twice weekly 15 minute walks or peloton rides and a busy life of work, travel, play and injuries, Judy’s muscle building furnace began and her hunger ticked up. During a check-in, she said “I can eat more” and here we are – Judy is now eating at maintenance.
Start weight: 132.8lb
Current weight: 129.lbs
Waist: 1.25” lost
Thigh: 0.25” lost
Bust: 0.50” lost
Hips: 0.50” gained
Judy sent me this great video of her wearing a dress she bought that didn’t fit.
Here’s what Judy said:
“Lee-Ann, I bought this dress during the pandemic when we were finally able to go out shopping again, but didn’t have a chance to wear it before it got too small because I had gained weight. Specifically the armholes became too tight and uncomfortable.
A little over a month into my training and doing macros, I tried on this dress and I was shocked I could fit it! I hadn’t really lost weight on the scale, at that time maybe a pound? But my body composition had changed quite a bit.
To this day I still haven’t lost much weight, 2 lbs, but my body continues to change and a lot of my clothes that were too tight on me, I can fit comfortably again!”
LADIES! Too many throw in the towel because the scale/metrics aren’t decreasing fast enough.
If you are CONSISTENT, body recomp is always happening BEHIND THE SCENES!
Remember 👉🏾 even if the number on the scale remains constant, your body composition could be shifting! Fat loss & muscle gain can balance each other out, leading to body recomp. #honolulupersonaltrainer
