Week 36 & 37 folks!
5 weeks and 3 days 😬 until…
Its been fascinating using food & exercise to manipulate physique. This is NOT my wheelhouse. I am not a comp coach which is why I put my trust in my Coaches.
The BIGGEST revelation I’ve had during these past 36 weeks is this idea i should look shredded way before my show date . This isn’t realistic for normal, natural competitors. My Coach @stephanieayala7 told me you really see your stage body from week 4 down to week 2.
I have ALWAYS felt like I was behind. Running out of time. But in my short 4 weeks working with @dynastytraining, I haven’t felt more excited than ever that yes, yes this is happening!
Today was my first check in where the scale dipped down to a new low for me: 134.2lbs.
My waist is still 24” and hips 35” upper thigh 21” but I’m for sure seeing changes that have me like “wow 🤩 that’s my muscle.”
And I’m most proud of my process. Sure I’m eating in a deficit AND doing cardio. I take creatine and pre workout powder. I’ve added a thermo fat burner to the regimen. But other than that, I’ve built my body legit with food and exercise.
The hardest thing for me has been to hit my cardio expenditure as instructed: getting my heart rate high enough to hit my calorie target. Before, I was doing a lot of outdoor running. But my Coach doesn’t want me putting so much impact on my body. Plus we are trying to build up my glutes, so flat road running ain’t doing nothing for my 🍑! I gotta hit the incline on the treadmill at a target speed. And boy have I been out of my steady state comfort zone! All good stuff cuz I ❤️ a challenge.
I’m enjoying learning new exercises, new tempos and rep ranges. Exercise is never an issue for me.
And right now, I’ve been on the same macros with 1 epic re-feed which has kept me sane. But there hasn’t been one day where I’ve ever been perfect. Every day, something happens. But I know this to be true 👉🏾 I’m doing the things. Getting it done. Showing up daily. And that is beyond enough! That keeps me grinding!
I’m fearful of the grind to come. I know I haven’t touched the surface yet so I’m also mentally prepping to enter that zone. 🔥
