I am gonna ask you for a HUGE favor (don’t worry it won’t take any money or much time at all); but, first I want to give you a little back story.
When I first left my advertising corporate career to pursue personal training full time, I was very naive. I did A LOT of things wrong. And I put my clients through the ringer with all the new and exciting mainstream STUFF trainers like myself were taught back then.
I followed a career in fitness initially due to my HUGE EGO, chasing a look, a size and a weight and if you’ve followed me for some time, you’ll know that there were many prices to be paid for that goal, all detrimental to both my mental and physical health.
I am a BIG believer in you are where you are meant to be, so I know that I had to go through that to be here now. Which is why I’ve decided to go ALL IN with my mission in helping women, many whom have been just where I have been at.
I want to radically shift the fitness industry’s standard of what fit and beautiful is.
I want to show as many people as I can that strength and empowerment come from within, and that your outside package (so to speak) doesn’t represent two shits (and many more LOL) about the wonderful person who are.
I want to become a role model for my fellow Chron’s, Colitis, Ostomy and fellow auto immune beings that despite our bodies being different and operating differently, this doesn’t make us any less capable.
And so what better way to spread my message of true body positivity by being selected to compete in the 2022 Muscle and Fitness Hers for the title of Ms. Health and Fitness?
Again, I truly appreciate all of your time and support! I have big plans to show the fitness industry just what a female in her mid life with an ostomy can represent for others to know that yes, we can break barriers and change the conversation around aging and body positivity because after all, why can’t a women with an ostomy be on the cover of a main stream fitness magazine?
