If you skip exercise and eating well every time you get busy or stressed, then your goal is to not eat well and to not exercise.
There you go – I said it #honolulupersonaltrainer
Life is busy and life is stress. I would bet the times where it is cool, calm and collected are few and far between. I myself think “Gee, when can I catch a break? When something is not totally blowing up that needs immediate attention?”
But what I’ve got really good at is setting my boundary. I know that despite chaos and busy, eating well and exercise makes me feel better. It has become my non-negotiable to eat well and exercise MOST of the time. NOT SOME time and NOT ALL the time. But MOST.
I challenge you to do the same. If you don’t skip out taking a bath or brushing your teeth when life gets “busy,” then don’t cancel out on the action items that make a huge impact on your health.
You can do anything for 15 minutes.
You can make good food choices 80% of the time.
You can make an effort to drink more water and get more sleep.
It’s not all or nothing.
It’s not some time or all the time.
IT IS most of the time.
IT IS 80/20.
IT IS staying the course when the going gets rough.
You have a plan. Stick with it. Don’t let outside external obstacles steer you away from taking care of you!
