week 38 update to my first bikini competition as a women 45+ with an ostomy

I am everyday people…

And I share my journey to help you believe that YES YOU can do what you believe you can do!

It doesn’t have to be changing how you look. Or doing a show or a photo shoot. Different strokes for different folks.

It all comes down to 👉🏾 where there is a will, there’s always a way!

I bit the bullet and it’s real. I declared my stage debut to real humans. My go-to “I’m going to try” is now “I’m competing in…”

I’ve invited my family and a few friends / clients on island.

I purchased my suit then my shoes and I just actually paid for my NPC membership and my entry into the show to compete in Women’s Masters 45+.

My method has become a FLOW. Like I’m on auto-pilot where there’s no negotiation if I will do something. It’s just become a “Today, cardio is at this time. Lifts are here then there. Work, client touch base, family responsibilities are all over here.”

No two days ever look a like. And that’s the blessing of having my own business.

I’ve also enforced boundaries with others. No social meals out more than 1x per week. If I can’t choose the place, I can’t make it. I’ve said out loud to others, “right now this is my high priority goal” and it comes 🔝 of my food chain alongside my husband, my animals and my clients.

Yes, I’m hungry and tired. More so some days than others. But it’s not awful (yet).

I’ve had previous experiences with feeling really awful preps but I truly believe my body and my mind was not in a state to tackle such a feat.

I also believe that two years with TWW built up my body into a really solid state to handle this deficit. Believe me, I’ve been on extreme diets before all this and I’m eating more food than back in my 1200 calorie days.

Many of you have asked about my macros, and I’ve got nothing to hide – I eat 168g protein / 112g carbs / 32g fat per day which is a little over 1400 calories. I know many people who aren’t competing eating way less or have nixed out carbs completely.

Currently, I’m at 55-60 min cardio daily & lift 4x/week. My weekly spin class counts as a cardio session too! Current weight: 134lb at 5’2.5” 🌈🔥🤙🏾💪🏾
