There are many ways I used to self sabotage over the years of maneuvering my food and fitness. What can I say, I am a work in progress!
Over restricting. Over exercising. Over indulging. Over committing.
As a Coach, it is my job to see when self sabotage creeps in for my clients and to help them through it before they even realize it.
And the most common form of sabotage I see with new macro tracking clients is when they say “Macro tracking is too hard, so I didn’t track…”
There are many reasons why self sabotage arises: fear of failure; waiting for the other shoe to drop; fear of success.
Once we recognize this behavior, we can decide if changing this behavior is worth it to you!
If you are ready to change, then start with turning that negative self talk into a positive convo!
Remind yourself that macro tracking can get easier if you are willing to put in the time and effort to learn how to do it.
Write down a list of all the things, no matter how big or small, that are going well when you do macro track.
Remember that pre planning will set you up for success!
And don’t forget – when you settle into a lifestyle of food and fitness that is safe and sound, easy and enjoyable, the return on your investment is endless – fulfillment, satisfaction, consistency – all moving you toward your goals!
