1) Protein Cycling. This is a strategy I use with the athletes that I coach that is working incredibly well. What you want to do is have 20 grams of protein, 4-5 times a day. This will stimulate a pathway called the MTOR Pathway which helps builds muscle and will make you stronger. You don’t want to stimulate MTROR all the time so protein cycling is a great way to vary your meal routine.
2) In order to build muscle, you need an abundance of amino acids and collagen. This is a trick that body builders use. If you increase your amino acids and collagen, your body has more of the tools to build muscle. Sometimes with fasting and/or dieting, you are not getting enough of these nutrients.
