Don’t overthink the fat loss / get healthy / lose weight / get faster / gain muscle process…
I had relied on so many shitty strategies for too long – lots of cardio, lots of lifting, lots of fat burners, lots of fasting, cleansing, detoxing…
I would always partner up with trainers who had me doing plyometric moves between every weight set; had me cycle calories with 1,300 being my high day…
I had the bodybuilder trainer who had me lifting heavy (awesome) while eating all protein and veg no fat.
I had the female trainer who had me lifting very light rep for a gazillion reps per set while focusing on the #zonediet.
I had the trainer that had me do everything on one leg or with 1 arm on an unstable surface (THANK YOU) to this trainer cuz I credit him for making my core wicked strong 💪🏾
Yep, before becoming a trainer, I worked with many myself. I was always on the hunt for the “next big thing.” As an employee at 24 Hour Fitness, I had a great employee discount, so I tried probably about 5 or 6 over a decade or so.
In between, I met a few (like 2) who were the rare Coach that wanted me to eat more; pushed me out of my comfort zone to lift the big lifts and wanted me to focus on sports performance since I was all in on 😂#triathlon racing.
I’ve definitely rode the diet and weight loss and gain roller coaster which makes me a great Coach cuz I know how you feel. I know what you’ve been through. I’ve been there and done that.
I’m here to tell you that it’s not so complicated after all. If you prioritize the right actions for your body and get consistent as F with that, the body goal stuff falls into place.
