How do you know if keto is right for you?
Ask yourself this very serious question:
Can you eat Keto for the rest of your life? Not just keto 12 weeks or 1 year but can ya Keto forever?
Of course, no right or wrong answer here.
Most of my ladies are Keto when we start working together and then I help them transition from Keto back to the regular food programming.
And so here’s how you can best transition off of the #ketodiet is you and Keto have grown apart. 👇🏾👀
#1. Have a plan! You can’t go back to eating the way you did before Keto and you can’t continue eating unlimited portions of fat. You need a plan.
👉🏾Start by adding 1 controlled portion (measured and weighed) of carbs before a strength training workout or after a strength training workout.
#2. Choose your carbs carefully! Going off Keto isn’t a free for all to return to highly processed white carbs!
👉🏾 Start with unprocessed carbs. Rather than going straight for pasta, doughnuts, and cupcakes, go for plant-based carbs when you first break up with keto. Reintroduce whole grains, beans, legumes, fruits, and non-starchy vegetables before processed foods and sugar-sweetened beverages!
#3. Go slow! Introduce carbs slowly and gradually.
👉🏾Start with adding carbs in at one meal per day. Try this for a few weeks and see how your body responds. If things are going well, add carbs into another meal or snack. Continue adding carbs one meal or snack at a time until you’re comfortable eating them throughout the day!
Give me your favorite carb 👇🏾 mine is sushi 🍣 🍱 for sure! 🤤 😋
